Many of you know this already but……..
I have decided to serve as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Having the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life has given me so much hope and peace and it is my wish to serve a mission and to share that hope and peace with others.
I have been blessed far beyond what I deserve and I feel it is only right for me to take 18 months and focus entirely on Him.
My portion of my papers have been submitted, I have met with my Bishop and now I am waiting to meet with my Stake President. If you are not familiar with the LDS church, please go here to learn more about my faith.
I am hoping to have everything officially submitted within the next week or so. In the meantime, I have been doing lots of preparation. The first thing I did was go buy a few long skirts. I just went to a thrift store in town. I bought 3 skirts and a blazer for $15. My goal is to make this as inexpensive as possible.
I am currently in my second semester of nursing school and will be an LPN in May 2014. I will take a break then and serve my mission and then when I return I will finish my BSN.
Now, one of the things that I am super excited about is…
I am making a workout/recipe book to take with me on the mission.
I want it to be very organized and categorized by muscle group.
The recipes will be easy go to stuff that wont take a ton of time because as a missionary you don’t have much time to cook.
You can go here to follow my progress.
I have lots of time to get this done. So, I am not in a rush but I am so excited!!!
I honestly do not care where I go. I just want to know; When? Where?
My goal is to reach my 200lb weight loss mark before going on my mission and build muscle. While I am on my mission, my goal is to maintain that weight. I am at the point in my weight loss journey where I am getting so close to my “goal weight” that I am taking it kind of slow and focusing on what my body is telling me. If i’m hungry, I eat. If i’m tired, I take a nap. Our bodies will always tell us what they need. You just have to stop and listen.
Here is a nice thought to ponder on….
Love to you all!
